Yumberry
Yumberry is a sort of
subtropical evergreen fruit tree, whose fruit is a kind of
unique Chinese specialty and whose major growing area is
located in Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces of East China.
This fruit is round-shaped with outstanding color, rich
juice, mild taste of sour and sweetness, and a rich
containment of nutrients. The yumberry can be divided into
over 100 varieties, such as white, pink, red, and purple.
Usually the purple variety of yumberry has excellent quality
and superior taste. The yumberry tree is 5-10 m high and the
delicately soft pulp of yumberry is cylinder-shaped. The
fruits of yumberry are usually harvested during a rather
short period between May and June, and the freshly harvested
fruits of yumberry are not endurable for long-term storage.

juice, or made into candied fruit.
